- Poor understanding of community over Natural Resources and their Management practices;
- Factionalism and polarisation of community over issues other then development;
- Lack of spaces and opportunities for women to play their role in domestic, community and regional developmental issues;
- Poor agriculture extension services, improper land use, poor post harvest services etc.;
- Lack of skills and access to capital and markets for undertaking self employment by rural poors;
- Certain community groups are marginalized and excluded in mainstream Development (tribe, women, PWD);
- Extremely poor quality of primary education especially at rural areas;
- Lack of relevance of education to needs and aspirations of the community and region
- Disconnect among scientist, technologist, researcher and common man resulting in inappropriate, inadequate application of S&T to better day to day life;
- Lack of community motivation and initiative for adopting simple safe behaviour for healthy living;
