BYPASS has several volunteer opportunities at its head and field offices. Additionally. there is scope for volunteers around the world for Improving visibility and resource generation.

As a volunteer with BYPASS , you will not be slotted into rigid roles. Based your skill sets and interests, you could be doing any of the following:

• Project-based primary and secondary research on the various themes.
• Community mobilisation.
• Developing creative presentations for the programme teams.
• Writing articles on various developmental issues for our publications.
• Event management (coordinate training programmes, media campaign, public lectures, etc).
• For organizing lobbying and fund raising activities, trade fairs, marketing of rural products etc.

Volunteers at BYPASS are typically post-graduate students or professionals with skills and experience in such areas as social work, rural management, agriculture, natural resource management, forest management, public health, business, behaviour science and other fields. Recent volunteers have either been self-funded or have been provided travel and cost-of-living expenses. Volunteers from India tend to work for 2-5 hours a week in the evenings or weekends, while volunteers from overseas spend 2-4 months working full-time with us.

Your sojourn at BYPASS will provide you with a lively and both practical and theoretical insight into the rural development movement. You will have the chance of working on critical development issues and enhance your professional skills!
